*Insert Eminem 'Without Me.MP3'*

I closed the site down back in September, having realised that a combination of £10 a month, around two regular readers (the statistics were not pretty), and the upcoming start of university meant that 'It's time to go'...

Well it turns out that I'm in fact not nearly as busy as I expected to be, and Covid somehow got worse than it was before. And whilst I knew studying a degree in Media meant I wouldn't exactly be keeping up late finishing any assignments (I feel sorry for those doing engineering or medicine, I really do), I didn't quite expect to have this much time on my hands. So much time, that I actually started to consider rebooting the old website. So I did.

This time though, I needed greater support, and what better way than to fully incorporate Ollie Nixon into the website. Consider it as a significant promotion from lead writer to co-owner, and more than deserved too.

So with two of us at the helm, maybe this time we can push the boundaries and last longer than two months. But that relies on you. The reader, the audience, the consumer however you want to be addressed, a few minutes from your action packed lockdown days would be much appreciated. And whilst I tried to make a conscious effort not to force this project down your throats the first time around, in some respects I want you to deepthroat the hell out of it this time.

And for good reason too, and although my downfall is often because I am an eternal optimist, we are going to be bigger and better than before (not particularly hard though I might add.) Expect to see anything politics, sport or lifestyle related, with the tone of two teenagers that you'd be hard-pushed to find anywhere in mainstream media. With fake news and censoring a common issue in today's journalism, here you might find inner peace in the comfort of unbiased news in a relaxed and informal tone. Even that you could say is overly optimistic.

A key, practical lesson I have learnt already from my media degree is that the shorter, more concise pieces are often more successful. Why you ask? Because the young population have a ridiculously short attention span and can't bear to read things that are too long before they need the next bit of content to fulfil their ever expanding stimulation needs. And unfortunately that does include me and you.

So for that reason I will sign off here, but expect more from us very soon, and to the two readers (optimistic I know) who have made it this far, thank you.

Luke

(And if you didn't get the reference at the start, educate yourself, in pop culture at least.)
